CHESS PIECES Bauhaus Chessmen are a faithful reproduction to the original design by Bauhaus sculptor Josef Hartwig. The design transforms pieces into geometric symbols based on their functions. The thought behind this design was that the shapes and symbols of cubes, cylinders and balls should lead you move by move to checkmate. The original Bauhaus design was sold in two versions, a "daily use" version and a hand-made "luxury" version. Our design is a reproduction of the Handmade Luxury Version. CHESSBOARD Our Roll Up Chess board is an excellent choice for someone who is looking for premium chess board which is easy to carry. Made up of solid blocks of Golden Rosewood & Maple Wood, the chess board has been finely polished in Matt finish.
